Please follow these steps to map a custom domain name to your dream.page blog

Assuming you have already purchased a custom domain name from a domain name registrar (such as Cloudflare), follow the steps below:

1) Email [email protected] with the following information:

  • the URL of your current dream.page blog
  • the email address associated with your dream.page blog
  • the custom domain name you would like to set up for this blog

2) We will email you back with 2 custom name servers

3) In the domain registrar you used to purchase your custom domain name, add those two name servers as “custom name servers”

  • Under “custom name servers” and enter the two name servers I gave you. If there are other name servers there, delete them. You should only have the two custom name servers that we provide you.
  • Make sure that use of custom name servers is “enabled”. On some registrars it’s not enough to just enter the name servers; you have to tell it to ignore your own and use these
  • There should be no other records (A, CNAME, etc) in your registrar for the custom domain name. If there are, delete those.

4) One you have added the 2 custom name servers to your domain registrar, head back to the settings area on your dream page blog

  • head to settings » basics
  • enter the custom domain name under “Domain Name” field and click update
  • scroll down to the test area and click “Test domain name” to begin testing
  • if the new domain works, click “Enable domain name” to make your change permanent

*Note: you may have to wait 48 hours after configuring the custom name servers for this step to work properly
